Information about tools choosing for safe and correct operation

              For the correct tools operation, it is necessary to match the correct characteristics of the diamond layer. The characteristic of diamond layer consists of the following parameters:

1. Strength of diamond powder. Selection of diamond powder for strength is carried out according to the table:

Used for production of resin bonded tools for grinding and sharpening of tools made of tungsten (9, 12, 18), tungsten - molybdenum (65) and other high-speed steels, particularly high-speed steels with high productivity (95, 1255), grinding of precision parts made of heat resistant and stainless steels with high hardness (HRC 55 and more) when high precision is required.

Micro grinding powders

Used for production of pastes, suspensions for grinding and finishing of machine parts and equipment made of carbide, cast iron, ceramics, glass and semiconducting materials.

Used for production of resin and metal bonded tools, pastes, suspensions for finishing and polishing of hard to machine materials, corundum, ceramics, diamonds, precious and semiprecious stones, glass, precision parts and details tungsten carbide alloys.

 

1.        Grit size of diamond powder. Choice of grit size of diamond powder is carried out according to the table.

2.        The concentration of diamond grain is the content by weight of diamond in the diamond layer. The following are guidelines for the choice of diamond concentration in the diamond layer:

- for a small contact surface between the grinding wheel and the workpiece, for example as in circular grinding, a high diamond concentration should be chosen. This provides higher wear resistance for the wheel, even at high loads.

- a large contact surface necessitates lowering the grinding temperature and the grinding  intensity. In this case a lower diamond concentration should be used.

Wheels are produced with diamond concentrations 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% and 150%.

It is possible to produce wheels with other concentrations if needed.
